As an artist who works predominantly with clay, I am inspired by domestic ceramic objects, and the way they speak to us and tell us of the past. Through recontextualising these objects within a gallery space, I use them as metaphors to draw attention to gendered issues of violence, reproduction, family, equality and policy.
I am also inspired by philosophy, the privileged musings of a patriarchal system throughout history, and the impact this has had on how we perceive our world and the systems of society that govern the way we live today.
